Transition your Summer favourites to Winter essentials.
Don’t pack aways your Summer pieces just yet, with just a few simply styling tricks you can take your warm-weather favourites into Winter wardrobe essentials.
1 Layer, layer layer – Layer with knits and jackets, wear them over your favourite Summer dresses and tops.
2 Choose your colours wisely – Summer clothes that are dark or neutral in colour also work really well for Winter.
3 Wear tights – Wear tights under your Summer skirts, dresses and shorts. Higher denier tights are the perfect choice to keep your legs warm in Winter.
4 Wrap up – An easy way to transition your Summer outfits is to throw on a scarf. A chunky scarf or a snood will keep you warm!
5 Switch your footwear – Say bye bye to sandals and open-toe shoes and welcome pumps and boots! Having the right footwear will make a big difference to keeping you warm. My favourite this season is the thigh high boots. It not only keeps your toes warm, but also your legs!
6 Put on a statement jacket – Take your Summer basics and pair them with a statement Winter jacket. Opt for an eye-catching colour, print or cut.
7 Denim is here to stay – Whether it’s your denim skirts, jacket or jeans, they can be worn all year round!
8 Update your accessories – Switching up your accessories can go a long way. Throw on a knitted beanie, faux fur collar or those suede boots, this will transform your outfit!
9 Hats on – Hats are my favourite all-year round accessories. Instead of a straw hat, opt for a felt or knitted hat.
10 You can still show skin – Show off you pins and layer on top to block out the chill. Keep the ratio of skin to clothing balanced.
