Voted as the world’s best resort by Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards in 2012, the bar was set pretty high and all our expectations were all surpassed.
We arrived at the gates likened to Jurassic Park which opened up to what seemed like a luscious secret garden.
Our golf buggy took us to The Long Pavilion where we enjoyed the stunning panoramic view of the surrounding islands. This resort really embodied the spirit of Australia. It integrates and blends in perfectly with the island and natural environment and is modernly furnished with beautiful earthy browns, shades of green and tasteful aboriginal art.
We were shown to our spacious pavilion to relax and unwind. Eucalyptus trees and cockatoos greeted us at our private infinity edge plunge pool. Our own little slice of heaven.
The resort definitely gave me another perspective on Lara Bingle’s “So where the bloody hell are you?” advertisement and we can’t wait to be back in Queensland for more at Qualia Resort!
