MBFWA 2017 with Maybelline

I was excited to be invited back by Maybelline this year to do Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia all over again with my #MaybellineSquad. I thought last year was going to be hard to top. The Maybelline team surpassed all expectations again and turned it on to give us the BEST Fashion Week experience!

Look of the Day

For the Dion Lee runway, I went for a smokey eye look using Maybelline The Nudes eyeshadow palette paired with nude lips where I applied Maybelline Color Jolt in Stripped Down. The look wouldn’t be complete without glowing cheeks, I achieved this using Maybelline Master Strobing Stick.

Wearing Self Portrait Top and Skirt, Wittner Heels and Viktoria & Woods Chocker

The look for Dion Lee runway is raw, radiant, sophisticated and discreet. The architecture of each individuals bone structure is celebrated.

Dion Lee kicked off Australian Fashion Week with another hit show at the Sydney Opera house. Dion Lee showed off a beautifully curated collection of tailored separates in bold colours and monochrome tones. The designer also showed a selection of menswear for the first time.

Look of the Day

For this day I wore a full suit so I wanted a more slicked back look. To compliment my hair, I went for a dark lip using Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Color Loaded Bolds in Midnight Merlot and kept the eyes neutral.

Wearing Viktoria and Woods Blazer, Pants & Top, Dinosaur Designs Earrings, Nicole Fendel Necklaces and Christian Louboutin Clutch

The Albus Lumen look is flushed, sun kissed look reminiscent of a European coastal holiday.

Albus Lumen is latin for white light. It is not overburdened by trends, but grounded in the core elements, drawing strength from detailed minimalism. Simple shapes with classic modernity creates subtle, yet striking contrasts.

The Double Rainbouu look is tribal x festival for the active hedonist. The pop of pink for the brows and eyes are applied using Color Jolt Intense Lip Paint in Fight Me Fuchsia.

Double Rainbouu is a beach and resort wear brand that is playful but has some attitude. That is cool, youthful and sexy. That draws from fashion, art and pop culture worlds but carves its own little island niche.

The Zhivago look is a celebration of colour and drama with a nod to the 90s bombshell. It’s all about the glitter pouts!

From a Russian name meaning “daring”, Zhivago is always a show full of attitude and boss as babes. The label is both seductive and sophisticated, the high voltage designs enhancing the female form and further empowering the confident woman.

Look of the Day

For this day, I went with a Autumn palette. For the eyes, I was inspired by the colour of autumn leaves and went for a bronzed smokey eye using Maybelline The Nudes eyeshadow palette. On my lips, I am using Color Sensational Lip Color Loaded Bolds in Blackest Berry.

Wearing Viktoria & Woods Dress and Corset, Wittner Boots and Louis Vuitton Bag

The Macgraw look is a velvet texture finish for a high fashion provincial girl. It’s got that effortless radiance all the city girls are after!

Macgraw is the most fun Australian Fashion Week show! Macgraw brought lots of fun, print and colour. You can’t help but smile with the models as they came down the runway!

After Macgraw runway, we headed to Makeup Masterclass with the one and only, the fabulous Nigel Stanislaus where we learnt Fashion Week makeup tips and tricks.

Here’s a wrap up video of the week!
